Educational Projects
For years, the INAF-Osservatorio Astronomico di Cagliari has been conducting various activities at schools of all levels, primarily in the province of Cagliari.
These activities, which complement other public-oriented initiatives, generally include:
- organizing and conducting training and/or refresher courses for science teachers;
- organizing and conducting conferences and seminars for students (see the list on the side);
- organizing and conducting educational projects (e.g., “A new LIGHT for the schools of Sardinia“)
- organizing and conducting educational workshops (e.g., the ASTROKIDS project)
- promoting and organizing support activities for the Italian Astronomy Olympiad;
- providing consultancy and support for the implementation of extracurricular school projects (such as Work-Study Alternation projects or Astronomy Master Classes)
- organizing the guided tour program at the new Selargius location
Additionally, the INAF-OAC has long been active in studying the use of astronomy and hands-on laboratory techniques for inclusive education projects.
