Blu and Coding
Blu is also the Protagonist of some Activities Created on the Educational Platform Scratch.
In particular:
- the video game “Blu explores the solar system”, a game/quiz to test your knowledge about the planets of the Solar System, developed by Silvia Leurini (INAF-OAC);
- the activity “How much do you weigh in the solar system?“, to discover how different gravity affects your weight on different planets, developed by Maura Sandri (INAF-OAS Bologna)
But Blu also helps children with their schoolwork, for example in reviewing multiplication tables (an activity by Maura Sandri, our national Scratch expert!) Discover how fun it is to study with Blu!
Younger children can simply follow the instructions and answer the questions, while older ones can use the projects to try their hand at programming new adventures. Of course, with Blu!
FOR PARENTS AND TEACHERS: Scratch is a free programming environment developed by MIT in Boston, using a graphical programming language inspired by the constructionist theory of learning. Scratch is designed to develop computational thinking and simultaneously provide a common foundation for every programming language. It allows for the development of educational projects and animations, as well as simple games or interactive presentations. And it’s easy to use!
