The Gerrei AstroFest is Back!

The program for the third edition of the Gerrei Astrofest, the astronomy festival of Gerrei, is now online. Tons of activities in 9 different locations and 4 weekends, from May 17 to June 8, Gerrei transforms into the most fascinating open-air observatory in Sardinia!

The Gerrei Astrofest is much more than just a festival: it’s a scientific adventure that embraces the entire Gerrei community, involving 8 municipalities in the area and bringing astronomy directly to the people.

A Distributed Festival

Every weekend, a different municipality in Gerrei becomes the stage for unique scientific experiences. Discover the program of activities:

Central point: the Sardinia Radio Telescope

The silent star of the entire festival is the Sardinia Radio Telescope (SRT), the pride of Sardinian astronomical research, which will host guided tours and special activities.
