Here are the New 2021 Dates to Visit SRT

Visits, both live and virtual, to the Sardinia Radio Telescope in San Basilio are resuming in collaboration with Sharper - European Researchers' Night.

After a long break, visits to the Sardinia Radio Telescope in San Basilio are resuming.

Compared to the past, there are some new features; for the first time, both in-person and online visits, including virtual tours, will be available. In both cases, it will be possible to interact and ask questions to the researchers.

For live visits, where visitors will need to arrive on-site at the Pranu Sanguni plain in San Basilio, an outdoor visit format will be preferred, meaning no slide presentations inside the Visitor Center, which will still be available to the public if needed.

The visit will thus be a walk in the shadow of Italy’s largest radio telescope, accompanied by the researchers who use it daily and know all its secrets.

The summer 2021 visits will be conducted as part of the Sharper – European Researchers’ Night project, serving as pre-events leading up to the night of September 24th.
