Astrokids Workshops are Back!

On Thursday, March 26, the OAC resumes with the workshops of the national INAF project called "Astrokids", for the dissemination of astronomy among children and teenagers. Meet at the Pirri Municipal Library. Participation by reservation.

Astronomy Workshop and Reading Promotion

The INAF – Astronomical Observatory of Cagliari, in collaboration with the cultural association “Laboratorio Scienza” and the temporary consortium of companies managing the services of the Historical Archive and the Municipal Library System (La Memoria Storica soc. coop., Agorà Sardegna, Società Cooperativa Culture, Karalimedia coop. a.r.l.), invite you to the first of the Astrokids 2015 workshops titled “Eyes on the sky, conquering the Moon! Astronomy Workshop and Reading Promotion” which will be held Thursday, March 26, at 5:00 PM at the Pirri Municipal Library.

Participants, aged between 7 and 10 years (max 20 participants), with the support of multimedia products, will discover what the Moon is, what it is made of, and its characteristics, through fun practical demonstrations. The workshop, lasting about an hour and a half, will conclude with the story of the Moon landing and a moon tour made with real images.
