After what has already become famous as “the dance of the parabola“, when the Sardinia Radio Telescope (SRT) danced to the sound of the launeddas during its inauguration ceremony on September 30, here is another exciting video about SRT.
To the notes of “Someone like you” by Adele, the talented Paolo Aralla created an extraordinary choreography, assembling 4500 shots he took of SRT on the night of October 2, while the radio telescope was conducting scientific tests. Once again, the result is both exciting and moving: this time we might almost call it a dance of knowledge, where the colossal scientific instrument moves with surprising grace in pursuit of the unknown, becoming a sort of musical instrument itself, vibrating to the notes of infinity.
We thank Paolo for gifting us all with this splendid blend of science and music, and for showing us SRT in a different light than we’re used to, but certainly no less enjoyable.
For those who want to enjoy this exceptional show, the video is available on the Facebook page of the Cagliari Astronomical Observatory.
Note: Paolo Aralla is involved in the production of nature documentaries, reports, virtual tours, and much more related to the video-photographic sector.
