Master’s Degree in Physics (University of Cagliari) and PhD in Physics (University of Ferrara), he is a researcher on a fixed-term contract in the Solar Physics group (SunDish and Solaris projects) at INAF-Osservatorio Astronomico di Cagliari.

He mainly focuses on monitoring the solar atmosphere in the radio band (from 18-26 GHz) through single-dish observations and ROACH spectroscopy for identifying solar gyro-resonance emission lines. As the coordinator and responsible for the development of scientific data analysis software for SunDish and Solaris, he develops and updates various Python software for the reduction and automated analysis of solar data from INAF radio telescopes. In the Solaris project, he is also involved in developing Python software for tracking and creating observational schedules.

He collaborates externally with the research group of the Department of Physics at the University of Ferrara for the study of Gamma-Ray Bursts, particularly for the multi-frequency analysis of afterglow emission.

He is currently part of the operational team of the Sardinia Radio Telescope (SRT), with a focus on Macro Work Package 6 (MWP-6, User Support).

In the field of Outreach and Education, he is responsible for the Sardinia interregional office for organizing the Italian Astronomy Championships, is part of the SRT guide team for guided tours, and is among the organizers of shows at the OAC Planetarium.
