Public Engagement and Education at INAF: what’s in it for us?

This talk provides an overview of education and public engagement activities at INAF OAC, focusing on their structure, evolution and strategic role within the Institute. Starting from a report of activities carried out in 2025, it outlines current plans for 2026. Moreover, it introduces the newly established INAF Central Scientific Unit for knowledge valorization (USC-E), INAF working groups and participation opportunities, including the IAU-Office of Astronomy for Education. The talk aims to show how outreach and education are not standalone actions, but part of a coordinated system that supports research, institutional goals and community building within INAF.
