Fulbright, Machine Learning, and Anomaly Detection in Astronomy Data

In this talk, I will discuss my Fulbright research project at OAC to apply Hierarchical Temporal Memory (HTM), a real-time machine learning algorithm, to various sources of astronomy data. I will give a brief overview of some past projects I did during my undergraduate studies that led me to begin this current project, and I will discuss what work I have done so far using HTM. Finally, I will talk about what I plan to do in the next seven months while at OAC.
