A bit of history and a greeting

I would like to take advantage of the presentation of a small brochure produced in collaboration with Silvia Casu to briefly recount the events that led to the development of astronomy in Sardinia to its current state.

The brochure was created as a support for visits to the OAC museum, especially with regard to astronomical instruments. It covers the history of the first settlement and observational activity in Carloforte, the transfer to Poggio dei Pini with a geodetic vocation, and the subsequent transformation, partly due to the impetus of SRT.
