Four Years of High-Performance Computing at OAC

Over the past four years, computing has undergone a major transformation, driving rapid acceleration and expanding scientific possibilities. The OAC high-performance infrastructure – comprising a high-capacity cluster, additional workstations, and vast storage – delivers a scalable environment for data-intensive astronomical research beyond local limits. However, the true value lies in the comprehensive technical service behind it. Beyond hardware and system administration, this support includes deep application-level assistance: custom software installations, code porting, performance tuning, and active debugging. These compute and storage resources, combined with continuous hands-on expertise, have been fully available to the entire OAC community, enabling researchers to process massive datasets and simulations efficiently
