First scientific discovery for SRT: a magnetar in the direction of the Galactic Center
First important observation for the Sardinia Radio Telescope: the detection of PSR 1745-2900, a neutron star with an extremely high magnetic field. It is located near the center of the Milky Way, and may be orbiting its central black hole.
