A New Monitor and Control Power Supply PCB for Biasing LNAs of Large Radio Telescopes Receivers

GAIA is a new multilayer PCB (Printed Circuit Board) for powering and controlling Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs) in receivers of large radio telescopes. The board offers high stability, an excellent balance between gain, remote control, and mitigation of radio frequency interference (RFI). We will present the board's features, design techniques, and characterization of the multilayer PCB.

Brief CV of Pierluigi Ortu:

He obtained his bachelor's degree in electronic engineering from the University of Pisa. His thesis focused on metrology systems in large radio telescopes. Since 2014, he has been working at the Astronomical Observatory of Cagliari, part of the National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF), where he is involved in designing electronic systems for receivers. He is currently enrolled in the Master's program in electronic engineering at the University of Cagliari.
