An RFI-mitigation scheme based on an adaptive filter has been developed for the Parkes Observatory. It was used with good results until the source of interference (a TV transmitter) was decommissioned - at which point the system was dismantled.

A new design is underway for the new 'ultra-wide bandwidth' receiver now being built.
