Only one week left before the start of the International Astronomical Union (IAU) Symposium 336: Astrophysical Masers: Unlocking the Mysteries of the Universe.

More than 160 participants, coming from all the parts of the world, will gather in Cagliari to discuss the new frontiers of the maser science, a research field originally concentrated on star formation and evolved stars but now touching on a very borad range of astrophysical phenomena.

During the Symposium week (from September 4th to 8th), which will be held in Conference Room of the Hotel Regina Margherita in Cagliari, researchers will review and discuss in particular the following topics:

SOCIAL PROGRAM The free afternoon is scheduled for Wednesday, September 6. On that date, a visit to the Sardinia Radio Telescope site will take place, which will include a typical Sardinian lunch buffet and a tour of the archeological site of Pranu Mutteddu (Goni).
The conference dinner will be held in the historical complex of 'La Corte in Giorgino' on Thursday, September 7.
