Abstract: The goal of the MeerKAT Fornax Survey is to perform a detailed study of a nearby cluster of galaxies, Fornax, using the new radio interferometer MeerKAT.
During this talk I will discuss the main motivation of this project. In particular, I will highlight the importance of neutral hydrogen gas for our understanding of galaxy evolution in clusters. I will also discuss the ongoing multi-wavelength observational campaigns linked to this project. Finally, I will talk about the general specs of the MeerKAT telescope, and of the importance of this telescope for other science of interest at OAC.
