First day of the event AstrinLuce 2015<\/strong>, organized by the Astronomical Observatory of Cagliari to celebrate the importance of light and light-based technologies.<\/p>\n

After the official presentation of the new spaces (designed to promote scientific research and strengthen the relationship with the public of all ages) held on Sunday, November 8 at the Si ‘e Boi Theater in Selargius, attended by INAF President Nichi D’Amico, the Mayor of Selargius, the OAC Director, and Councillor Paci, the conference by Matteo Bachetti<\/strong> on Extreme X-ray Astrophysics officially kicked off the AstrinLuce event.<\/p>\n

Today, the Pitagora Scientific High School<\/strong> of Selargius visited, where students were guided by the Observatory’s researchers through research on neutron stars and black holes, then moved on to the technological development labs of SRT, where they could visit a fully equipped workshop for prototype construction and personally experience 3D scanner technologies.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the students and their teachers had the opportunity to visit the exhibition “Rosetta, Comet Hunter<\/strong>“, kindly provided by the Italian Space Agency (ASI) to tell the story of the Rosetta mission and its lander Philae in discovering the mysteries of comets.<\/p>\n

To end the morning, comfortably seated, they attended the show “The Wonders of the Universe<\/strong>” guided by the stories and scientific explanations of Sabrina Milia and Noemi Iacolina.<\/p>\n

The day continued in the afternoon with the reopening of the Rosetta exhibition, and finally with the conference by Andrea Possenti<\/strong> on the Sounds and Visions of Radio Astronomy.<\/p>\n

Next appointment tomorrow with primary schools, with morning workshops on light and afternoon ones on comets, led by Alessia Zurru<\/strong> (Science Lab) and Silvia Casu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
