This valuable tool, with its cutting-edge technology, will allow the collection and study of radio waves from space.
For this reason, a new website has been developed and launched, primarily in English, enabling scientists and enthusiasts worldwide to learn about and appreciate this instrument.

The new site features a modern design and a simple, easy-to-understand structure.
It consists of several sections, some dedicated to the public and others that, once completed, will offer support information for astronomers using the radio telescope.
Among other things, the site offers a detailed description of the instrument and equipment necessary for its operation, sections on events and news related to the SRT (in Italian if of primarily local interest), outreach activities for the public, and near real-time images from a webcam pointed at the radio telescope, updated every 10 minutes (soon, a section on the weather conditions at the SRT, also updated in real-time, will be active).

Several people contributed to this project, and they deserve our thanks: particularly the webmaster, Gian Paolo Vargiu from the Cagliari Astronomical Observatory, for his dedication, time, and patience, and Antonella Fara, also from the OAC, who handled the challenges of putting the site online. Congratulations to both for the excellent work.

The new website for the Sardinia Radio Telescope can be accessed at this address: www.srt.inaf.it

Happy browsing!

The new English website for the Sardinia Radio Telescope is online, allowing scientists and enthusiasts worldwide to learn about and appreciate this high-tech instrument.

[134

post-4176","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-research
["GET
