Friday, June 6<\/strong> from 10:30 AM at the Lazzaretto of Cagliari<\/strong> (via dei Navigatori), the final event of the three-year scientific education project “The Port and the Star, the Journey of Discovery” will take place, which since 2011 has guided 120 elementary students through a three-year learning journey from third to fifth grade.<\/p>\n

\"TheThe project is linked to a series of initiatives supported by Sardegna Ricerche along with other public and private entities, aiming to promote the spread of scientific culture among the young and to combat high school dropout rates. In the last year, the project partnered with the Observatory of Cagliari, which guided students and teachers into the world of astronomical observations in visible and radio frequencies. <\/p>\n

For the students, the final event will be a celebration, where each class will set up a demonstration space to share the results of the three-year journey with parents and schoolmates. The children will be the scientific hosts of the event and, through the reconstruction of environments and study objects, as well as small experiments and interactive games, they will try to convey the knowledge they have gained over these three years. <\/p>\n

The project<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Port and the Star\u201d was born from an idea by CDO Opere Educative in partnership with Sardegna Ricerche (an entity of the Sardinia Region that manages the Pula Technology Park and funds projects for the dissemination of scientific and technological culture), CRS4 (Research and Development Center, Higher Studies in Sardinia located in the Pula Park), Contship Italia Group (a company that manages the Cagliari Canal Port and develops the \u201cPort Lab\u201d Project in collaboration with the school world), National Institute of Astrophysics-Cagliari Astronomical Observatory (INAF-OAC) and in collaboration with Laboratorio Scienza (a private company that promotes scientific and technological culture in schools and society), Val.Or (Agency for evaluation and orientation), Cagliari Port Authority, Sardinia Region Transport Department and ARST (Sardinian regional transport company).<\/p>\n
