{"id":4416,"date":"2016-09-09T22:38:09","date_gmt":"2016-09-09T20:38:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.oa-cagliari.inaf.it\/eventi\/light-in-astronomy-2016\/"},"modified":"2016-09-09T22:38:09","modified_gmt":"2016-09-09T20:38:09","slug":"light-in-astronomy-2016","status":"publish","type":"eventi","link":"https:\/\/www.oa-cagliari.inaf.it\/en\/events\/light-in-astronomy-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Light in Astronomy 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"area_centrale\">\n<div class=\"testo\">\n<p>On the occasion of the national week <strong>Light in Astronomy 2016<\/strong>, a project by the National Institute of Astrophysics, the Astronomical Observatory of Cagliari also opens its doors to schools and the public of all ages.<\/p>\n<p>The event, called <strong>AstrinLuce 2016<\/strong>, will take place at the new headquarters of the Observatory, in Selargius at Via della Scienza 5.<\/p>\n<p>Every morning, from Monday, November 14 to Saturday, November 19, 2016, will be dedicated exclusively to schools, with <strong>educational workshops<\/strong> (some of which are truly new and experimental like &#8220;<strong><em>Galileo in Free Fall<\/em><\/strong>&#8221; by Pietro Olla of the cultural association &#8220;Le strade di Macondo&#8221;, or the workshop &#8220;<strong><em>Smack: Machines for Doodling<\/em><\/strong>&#8221; by Sara Ricciardi, IASF-Bologna), the <strong>treasure hunt<\/strong> &#8220;<strong>Astrokids: Explorers of the Galaxy<\/strong>&#8221; by Silvia Casu, <strong>planetarium shows<\/strong> (by Sabrina Milia and Noemi Iacolina), <strong>tours of the facility<\/strong> and much more, such as the conference<em><strong> &#8220;Extreme Astronomy in X-Rays&#8221;<\/strong><\/em> by Matteo Bachetti, OAC researcher.  <\/p>\n<p>The afternoons, starting at 5 PM, will be dedicated to the general public and require reservations. There will be <strong>fun and educational workshops for children<\/strong>, <strong>visits to the museum and technological laboratories<\/strong> of SRT, the pride of the new Selargius headquarters, <strong>visits to the Sardinia Radio Telescope<\/strong> (in San Basilio), <strong>scientific conferences<\/strong> by our researchers (<em><strong>&#8220;A Universe of Whys&#8221;<\/strong><\/em> by Francesca Loi and <em><strong>&#8220;Hamlet&#8217;s Mill: Astronomy and Scientific Thought&#8221;<\/strong><\/em> by Paolo Soletta). <\/p>\n<p>There will also be a <strong>training session for teachers<\/strong> on tinkering techniques (&#8220;<strong>T<em>inkering, the New Frontier of Learning<\/em><\/strong>&#8220;, by Sara Ricciardi), a <strong>science show<\/strong> (&#8220;<strong><em>Albert Einstein and Contagious Creativity<\/em><\/strong>&#8220;, by Alessia Zurru, and finally, the <strong>theatrical performance<\/strong> <em>&#8220;<strong>By Jove!
